Course Description:
This course presents an overview for real estate agents on the New Construction contract for purchase & sale. In this course we will review new construction contracts and variations to look for when using a builder’s contract. We will continue with a discussion of the problems with the many builder’s contracts and issues that arise during contract negotiations. The course continues with a discussion of issue that may additionally arise from contract to close & post closing.

Course Objective:
The purpose of this class is to assist agents in recognizing if their client is protected in a builder’s contract when purchasing a new construction home. Students will leave the class able to recognize various elements of a Builder’s contract and exhibits and addenda and avoid potential pitfalls throughout the transaction from contract to close and beyond the settlement that may prove problematic for a Buyer. Agents will learn how to negotiate these contracts with a Buyer’s best interest in mind and will learn how to point out various elements of the contract so that the Buyer may make an informed & consented decision when choosing to buy a new home on a New Construction purchase & sale agreement.
